Bahamas Ferries prides itself on its revolutionary service. Over the past few years, we have grown with the addition of our new vessels. In keeping with our expansion, we have also restructured the freight distribution process to meet the increased demands of the business. The freight zones are designed to simplify the collection and distribution of freight while alleviating some of the congestion experienced at Potter’s Cay Dock. The thrust of the new freight zones will make life easier for our customers. It will also benefit both walkup customers, who may have small boxes, and our commercial customers shipping pallets, containers, or bulk freight.
Recently, wholesale partners were invited to conduct a site inspection of the new freight zones. Mrs. Joy Armbrister, Customer Service Manager along with the Freight Department management team conducted the site inspection. In attendance was Mr. Patrick Treco, Warehouse Coordinator and Mr. K’ron Lightbourne, Warehouse Manager, Caribbean Bottling Company and with Mr. Wellington Cunningham, Warehouse Manager, Milo Butler Distributors. The customers were pleased to see the new innovative system put in place on their behalf. One of the major benefits for wholesalers is the clearly defined drop off zones. This significantly reduces delivery times, particularly when making deliveries for multiple destinations.
The ultimate goal is to provide a seamless and pleasant customer experience. We want to assure our customers and business partners that we will continue to be responsive to their needs, and provide sustainable solutions.
